LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT IN NEW YORK

Coming to New York he cofounded a school for disturbed children, and established a private practice as a child psychoanalyst. Simultaneously he underwent body-oriented therapy developed by Wilhelm Reich. Understanding the significance and power of body armoring, Karl found it necessary to give up his work as a teacher and therapist so he could focus on his own therapeutic process. His treatment had generated a growing desire to be closer to nature. He had begun to enjoy remodeling his and friends’ apartments and felt that giving form to open spaces would be deeply satisfying. At this point in his life he decided to re-enter landscape architecture as a healing profession.
